Join us on July 26th from 9 AM to 1 PM at the Berks History Center for a hands-on Fort Boonesborough Basket Workshop, led by our talented Education Curator, Vicky Heffner. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to create a beautiful basket inspired by those crafted in Kentucky, at the very site where Berks County's own Daniel Boone once lived. Participants will have the chance to replicate a basket made in the traditional oak style, reminiscent of the craftsmanship of early American pioneers. You will utilize a diverse array of colored reeds to add your personal touch and create a vibrant, unique basket. Vicky will guide you through each step of the process, ensuring that both beginners and experienced basket makers can enjoy and complete their projects successfully. The cost is $50 for BHC Members and $60 for Non-Members, with all necessary materials included in the workshop fee. Whether you are looking to enhance your crafting skills or simply explore a new hobby, this workshop promises an enriching experience filled with creativity, history, and community spirit.
