Kick off September with First Thursday Celebrations at the Art Museum! First Thursdays festivals showcase the diversity of arts and humanities at IU Bloomington and offer a welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and community members to explore new creative outlets. Museum Activities for September First Thursday: Nature at Your Fingertips: Ease into the semester with fresh inspiration from campus. The Eskenazi Museum of Art celebrates Hilltop Garden and Nature Center with a collaborative spotlight on native plants and wellness. Pop-Up Garden Tours | Explore examples of vibrant florals from the Eskenazi Collection in the First Floor Galleries. Meet Hilltop | Discover this unique resource where IU students, staff, and the local community can learn about gardening and connect with nature. The first 100 visitors will receive a free seed packet from Hilltop curated for late summer and fall planting! Unwind at the Museum: Live Music | Enjoy the sounds of live harp music while you explore the galleries. Open Studio | The art-making studio is open for anyone who wants to make some art! You are welcome to use the art supplies provided in the studio or bring your own. All ages and abilities are welcome. No previous art-making experience is necessary | second floor.
