Deep Roots Festival is a community celebration around our connection to local foods and the farmers and growers who make them in the Lake Agassiz Region. This year we are so excited to feature two-time James Beard award-winning author and chef, Amy Thielen, as our keynote speaker! Along with her keynote presentation, Amy will be sharing a cooking demo and will be available to sign copies of her books including Give a Girl a Knife, The New Midwestern Table, and her latest book, Company. Classes & Event Schedule 2:00 pm -Gates Open and Chef Amy Thielen Cooking Begins 2:30-3:15 pm - Amy Thielen Keynote 3:30-4:15 pm - Class Session 1 4:00 p.m.- 6:00pm - Spanky's Stone Hearth Food Truck Open for Farm-to-Table Meal 4:30-5:15 p.m. - Session 2 6:00 p.m. Festival Wrap Up.
