The Listening to Oral Histories in West Central Minnesota IAS Collaborative presents and Oral History Showcase on Saturday, Oct. 11 from 2-4 p.m. at the Stevens County History Museum, 116 W 6th St., Morris. Event highlights include a short presentation, digital exhibits, oral histories to read and listen to, and appetizers and dessert. Two oral history projects were done this year: 1. Rural youth culture in the 1950s and 1960s 2. Evolution of Main Street businesses The event is free and is supported by the University of Minnesota's Institute for Advanced Study as a Research and Creative Collaborative.
