For Ages 5-14
The Knight School is your official chess team and chess party! In each of our offerings, The Knight School kids try to earn and collect all 25 colorful tactic-specific TactixBands in order to earn a rare black shirt and be admitted to The Masters. This approach results in kids developing a strong enthusiasm for chess, improved sportsmanship, and newfound academic confidence. Beginner to intermediate levels welcome. 2025 Session: Mondays, September 8th - December 15th (no class October 6th)
(Sept 8-29, Oct 13-27, Nov 3-24, Dec 1-15)
2026 Session: Mondays, January 12th - May 11th (no class March 16)
(Jan 12-26, Feb 2-23, Mar 2-30, April 6-27, May 4-11)
Time: 5:00-6:15 PM
Location: Springbrook Rec Center
Cost: $90/month - $10 monthly discount for siblings
(After the first class in September, monthly payments are due on the Friday before the first Monday class of each month)
*Upon enrollment, new students receive weekly lessons, a TKS T-Shirt, chess set, and tote (to keep if they complete six months of classes), colorful TactixBands they can earn, admission to the city-wide and semester-ending Chess Tournament/Parties, a custom kid-safe online chess account, weekly online nation-wide chess tournaments against other elementary students in The Knight School, and discounted rates on some of the other offerings such as the Varsity Advanced Chess Program.
