In Shakespeare’s comedy Much Ado About Nothing, sparks fly, and deception rears its ugly head, as sharp-tongued Beatrice and brash Benedick battle their way into love—while a darker scheme threatens to tear another couple apart. It’s a classic tale of romance, rivalry, and razor-sharp banter. Presented by Athens Shakespeare Company. Athens Shakespeare company is a new theatre troupe emerging from Ohio University’s MFA theatre students. Athens Shakespeare Company is committed to bringing quality theatre to Athens Ohio and the surrounding areas.
They provide free, fun, and family friendly outdoor productions with a strong emphasis on classical text and storytelling. Their mission is to use the power of live theatre and Shakespeare to build a stronger and more connected community.
