The State of New Orleans Culture: 20 Years After Katrina Presented by The Ella Project Join The Ella Project on Thursday, August 28 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the New Orleans Jazz Museum for The State of New Orleans Culture: 20 Years After Katrina, a panel discussion moderated by Lolis Eric Elie. This conversation will explore how artists and culture bearers have helped carry the city forward through disasters, recovery, and a changing landscape - while facing challenges like gentrification, affordable housing, insurance crises, the pandemic, and more. The evening begins with a reception from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., followed by the panel from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the museum’s 3rd floor performance space. The event is free and open to the public.
