Experience colorful works celebrating our world and its creatures, as ROCO kicks off its 21st season with the Albert and Margaret Alkek Foundation In Concert Series, featuring the full 40-piece chamber orchestra led by Artistic Partner Delyana Lazarova. ROCO presents a world premiere commission by composer and filmmaker Heather Schmidt inspired by her passion for husky rescues, plus a commission by Grammy-winning composer and producer Starr Parodi, exploring the beauty and grace of sea life. Finally, Leopold Mozart’s Sinfonia da Caccia brings audiences along on a countryside hunt! Presented as part of The Albert and Margaret Alkek Foundation In Concert Series ROCO is a flexible 40-piece professional chamber orchestra with musicians and guest artists from around the world, who are shaping the future of classical music. Since its founding in 2005, ROCO has established a singular role in classical music by reimagining what a chamber orchestra can be.
