Join us for a delightful day of outdoor fun at the Story Stroll and Nature Discovery Day: Art in Nature on Sunday, July 13, 2025. From 10 AM to 5 PM, everyone is invited to explore nature through storytelling and creativity at the Bloomington area. The Story Stroll begins outside the Bloomington Visitor Center, where you can take a leisurely walk along the prairie while following a children's storybook. All ages are welcome, and additional books will be available inside the center. The stroll is easy and accessible, covering a 0.25-mile path, with restrooms and water available nearby.
At the same time, drop by the Old Cedar Avenue Pavilion from 10 AM to 12 PM to create your own nature journal. This drop-in activity is perfect for all ages, with complimentary snacks provided by the Minnesota Valley Refuge Friends. Wear comfortable clothing and consider bringing binoculars for a nature exploration experience.
Both events are designed for easy participation, with accessible facilities and ample opportunities to connect with nature. For more information or specific accommodation requests, reach out to MinnesotaValley@fws.gov or call (952) 854-5900 (press 1 for Visitor Services).
