Vinton County Air Show plans are just about complete for this year’s show on September 21st. Bob Church, Jump Master, for the Screaming Chicken Sky Diving Team, said that his jumpers are ready to go for this year’s show. He also stated that Santa Clause will sky dive in for this year’s show and candy drop for the children.
All the acts for the show have been finalized and the pilot’s are ready to thrill all the spectators up on Pumpkin Ridge. This year’s show will feature Emerson Stewart, Brett Hunter, Robert LaCerta, Nick Coleman and Mike Hartman. These are some of the best aerial acrobatic pilots and planes in the business. Also, you’ll see some of the best radio controlled aircraft strut their stuff at this year’s show. The flying lawn mower will buzz the show again this year thanks to Roger Barnes!
The McArthur Eagle’s Club will Bar-B-Q the chicken and Vinton County’s 4-H members and parents will serve it up for you! The V.C. Football team will help out parking cars and the Marching Band will open the show!
Please note that Airport Road off of Route 93 will close at 12:30. To access the airport and parking area take St. Rt. 328 to Airport Road east. The show starts at 1:00 and is free! The Pilots and Boosters ask for a $10.00 per car parking donation.
