Explore two engaging events:
**Nature Art: Ozark Needlers** is a monthly program comprising 12 sessions throughout the year, focusing on embroidery techniques to create quilt blocks representing various species of concern in Missouri, such as the Spotted Skunk, Alligator Snapping Turtle, Hellbender, and Ozark Chinquapin. Each session will educate participants about the selected species, including its history, habitat, and significance to Missouri. Classes will be held on the first or second Tuesday of each month at 6:00 PM at the Ozark Regional Office Building in West Plains. Participants are expected to attend all 12 meetings, with supplies like thread colors and templates provided during each class.
**Shotgun: Women's Basic Shotgun** invites participants to discover the fundamentals of shotgun shooting. The program covers crucial topics like shotgun nomenclature, stance, eye dominance, and proper handling techniques. Shotguns and ammunition will be provided for those who need them, while participants using their own firearms are required to bring at least 50 rounds of new ammunition. Safety is paramount; all firearms must be unloaded upon entering the classroom, and no live ammunition or uncased weapons are allowed inside.
