Details:
A 75-minute power flow yoga practice in an infrared heated room (usually ranges from 80-90 degrees depending on the season. . . charm of an old building :) This class is an opportunity to challenge oneself with strength, mobility and flexibility movements/poses. Class might often include aspects of both flow and break-down time for play and practice with more advanced poses such as inversions, single-leg balance, arm balances, backbends, splits and fun mobility practices. The intention is to engage students both physically and mentally through exposure to new poses and poses that require more advanced levels of strength and/or flexibility. The main poses and class themes will cycle through every month or so to provide students with consistency and repetition, which help to build confidence and muscle memory. And there's always time set aside at the end for relaxation and rest. Having some basic yoga experience, or just general fitness experience, is helpful for this class, but not required. All are welcome to attend! Students will leave feeling invigorated, strong and relaxed.
